Beautiful hairstyle, but overall stressful experience
Spero che questo feedback possa contribuire a migliorare l’esperienza per le future spose.\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\nI chose this salon for my wedding in Italy after finding them online. As a Dutch bride getting married abroad, good communication was very important to me. Before booking, all communication was in English with the owner’s husband, so I assumed English would not be a problem. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I discovered that the stylist herself spoke almost no English. This made the consultation much more difficult and relied heavily on Google Translate, which was stressful for such an important occasion.
The trial also felt much longer than necessary because of a colour analysis that, in my opinion, did not add much value. I only found out during the appointment that the makeup would be done by another artist rather than the stylist herself. Fortunately, the makeup artist spoke English reasonably well.
I was not completely happy with the trial makeup. The colours looked too dark for my very fair skin, and my skin became dry and flaky. When I mentioned that my face looked much darker than my neck, I was simply told that I was “very white.” As someone from Northern Europe, I found this comment uncomfortable rather than helpful. I asked for part of the makeup to be redone before leaving, which they did.
The day before the wedding I had to return to the salon for a hair preparation appointment. This involved washing, conditioning, blow-drying and crimping my hair. For me, this required almost an hour of travel each way by public transport, and I honestly did not feel the treatment justified the extra time during an already busy wedding schedule. I also waited around 30 minutes before my appointment started, then another 10 minutes while sitting uncomfortably waiting for someone to assist me. Despite the hot weather, I was not offered anything to drink until I repeatedly asked for water myself. Small details like this make a difference, especially when clients are paying a premium price for a wedding service.
I also have sensitive skin, and I felt there was limited consideration for this. A facial product was suggested without any indication that it was suitable for sensitive skin, so I decided not to use it.
On the wedding day itself, however, everything went smoothly. My hairstyle turned out beautiful and lasted very well throughout the day. The team arrived at the hotel on time, and they also did my mother’s hair and makeup beautifully. They even helped my friend with a small makeup touch-up, which was appreciated.
One final point is that several photos of me were shared on social media without asking for my permission first. Afterwards I also received multiple requests to send more wedding photos for their social media. I would have preferred to be asked before any images from such a private day were posted.
Overall, the final hairstyle was beautiful, but the overall experience did not match the high expectations or premium price. There were several moments that caused unnecessary stress when I had hoped to feel relaxed and reassured before my wedding. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future brides.\n\nTradotto con OpenAI
